Year 2 Harvest Activity Morning

Year 2 had a Harvest Activity Morning which parents were invited to attend.

One of the activity groups this morning thought about where corn comes from and what it looks like. We looked at corn kernels and then made popcorn. We painted corn on the cob pictures to take home.

Other groups made vegetable characters, another did fruit printing and the final group played games with cereal hoops and made hoop necklaces and bracelets.

The whole school brought in food to give to those that may need it.

Thank you to all the parents who shared our special event and to all those that contributed to the food to share with Street Life.

Harvest Donations 2022

We would like to thank our wonderful community of parents and guardians for their generous donations of various items to our harvest celebrations, especially at these difficult times. These will be donated to the charity ‘Street Life’ which provides support and shelter for young people in Blackpool.

October Forest Camp

Please see the following information from Blackpool Council:

“Good afternoon,

I am getting on touch to let you know the Park Ranger service will be hosting a Forest Camp during the October half term. Places are limited but are available to all for a fee of £11 (plus £3.50 for a packed lunch). Funded places for eligible children are available through the HAF programme, which can include a packed lunch if required.

Please be advised, our sessions are outdoors and will go ahead in all weathers, unless Met Office weather warnings suggest there may be concern for safety .

If you know any children who would like to take part in the sessions, I would really appreciate you passing on the attached poster.

Many thanks
