After School Group

3.30 p.m. – 5.30 p.m.

Our youngest children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 are collected by staff from their classrooms and children in Key Stage 2 make their own way to the Activities Room at either 3:30 p.m. or immediately after an extra — curricular club if relevant.

A register is taken at the start of each session. If a child is not present but listed on the register for that session, a member of staff will make checks to ensure the child has been collected directly from school or is absent. Parents / carers will be informed immediately should there be any concerns about the whereabouts of a child.

Following registration, children are given a healthy snack and a choice of drinks. The children can then choose from a range of exciting activities including arts and crafts, outdoor sports & games, indoor games or simply to chill out with a book in the library.

In order to ensure their safety, children will only be released at the end of a session into the care of an adult named by the parent / carer on the child’s Registration Form. In an emergency situation a parent may telephone school to make alternative arrangements for an adult not named on the registration form to collect their child. However, before the child is released, school will contact the parent / carer back to confirm arrangements and the unnamed adult must provide identification upon arrival.

Unavoidable Delays

Out of School Group is mindful that occasionally parents may be unavoidably delayed due to an emergency or circumstances beyond their control. Parents / carers are asked to contact school immediately to give an approximate time of arrival and inform staff of any alternative arrangements.

Please note that a late pick up fee applies.
