At Marton we value all learning and not just that that takes place within the timetabled school day. We aim to give our children the skills for life and to foster a lifelong love of learning. Our participation in Children’s University enables us to celebrate the importance of learning in its widest sense. At the heart of its work is the ambition to raise aspirations so that young people can make the most of their abilities and interests.
To support our work with the Children’s University, our children enjoy a really exciting range of extra-curricular activities from calligraphy to football and more! They enable children to extend their experiences in new areas and help develop skills and particular talents. We are proud of the extensive range of activities we offer, both within and beyond the school day, giving each child a chance to shine.
All staff are involved in activities and this gives them the opportunity to work with children from other classes. This extends the relationship that exists between children and staff and adds to the family ethos of the school.
